Cookie Policy

Last updated: 31 August 2026

This policy reflects how Cirkle actually operates today but has not yet completed legal review. Details highlighted in the text below are still pending and will be finalised before this policy is considered final.

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Cirkle uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at cirkl3.com and in our mobile application. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow a site to recognise your device, keep you signed in between pages, and remember preferences. Similar technologies include browser local storage and, in mobile apps, secure device storage.

3. What Cirkle actually uses today

Cirkle currently uses strictly necessary cookies only.

We do not currently run advertising cookies, cross site tracking, or third party analytics on the Platform.

Strictly necessary cookies

PurposeSet byWhy
Keeping you signed in and maintaining your sessionClerk, our authentication providerWithout these you would be signed out on every page and could not buy a ticket or manage an event
Session security and protection against request forgeryClerk and our own applicationProtects your account from unauthorised use
Remembering interface preferences such as light or dark modeCirkleKeeps the interface consistent for you

These cookies are necessary for the Platform to work. They cannot be switched off through a preference control, because without them core functions such as signing in, buying a ticket, or scanning a pass at a gate would fail. You can block them in your browser settings, but the Platform will not function correctly.

Mobile application

Our mobile application does not use browser cookies. It stores your authentication session in your device's secure storage, and caches your tickets on your device so that your entry pass can be displayed even when there is no network connection at a venue. Cached ticket data stays on your device and is removed when you sign out or delete the app.

Payment pages

When you pay, you are directed to a payment page hosted by Paystack. Paystack sets its own cookies on that page, governed by Paystack's own policies. We do not control them.

4. If this changes

If we introduce analytics, performance measurement, or marketing technologies in future, we will update this Policy before doing so, and where the law requires consent we will ask for it and provide controls to manage your choices.

5. Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and using the Platform.

7. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy. The current version is always published on the Platform with its revision date.
